CALOR
5038 West Armitage, Chicago, Illinois
What began as a grassroots effort to help those in the west side Latino community with HIV/AIDS was by 1993 a fully realized social service organization providing culturally sensitive case management and mental health services. A further turning point in CALOR's history came in 1997 with their merger with Anixter Center. Ten years later in 2007, CALOR expanded its community outreach by opening this 6,240 square foot storefront building, with abundant case worker offices and meeting rooms, to more fully serve members of the west side Latino and African American community affected by HIV/AIDS.
